1. Black Bear Traditional Martial Arts Center hosts Capoeira and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes at 5 p.m. Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that includes elements of dance and music. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport and self-defense system. Contact Black Bear Traditional Martial Arts Center for more information.
2. The Mystic Arts Center is seeking submissions for the upcoming exhibition Young At Art. Anyone under the age of 18 from New London county and Westerly, R.I. is invited to submit artwork. Entries must be submitted Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012 or Monday, February 20, 2012 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. View the entry guidelines at the Mystic Arts Center website.
3. Go spinning at I Can Fitness this morning at 9:30. Can’t make it the morning class? There’s another class at 6:15 p.m. Both classes cost $11 plus tax and while all riders are welcome space is limited. Call 860-535-8064 to reserve your spot.
