Is there a debate? LIS has the best...hands down. Just go basic chocolate with vanilla frosting. There is no greater cupcake on the planet.

I agree with Chelsea above. The Bleu Squid in Mistick Village has amazing cupcakes! My favorite is the almond amaretto. To die for!

This is a debate of King Solomon-like proportions. I love Lis cupcakes! I love Bleu Squid cupcakes! I have never walked away from a Mystic Market cupcake! I mean, McQuade's bakery department makes really good cupcakes!

Bree, hands down it's LIS bake shop. The sour cream lemon blueberry, or perhaps the double chocolate with whipped cappucino frosting. To die for! I have family in Maryland and New Hampshire and am not allowed to visit unless I bring cupcakes. By the way, did I mention her chocolate croissants are second to none?

We vote for LIS. When family comes in from out of state we have to stop there before we even get to the house. We've served them for many occasions and enjoy trying the different flavors and frostings. Yummy!!

Gotta try Lis. We live half a dozen miles from Mystic but I'll take a trip one day soon.

I’m torn. I love Mystic Market cupcakes but every time I drive past First Bite and they’re open my car ends up in the parking lot and I end up a little heavier

The North End in Groton makes several different types of Cupcakes & (10 lb!) cakes - all with real Italian Meringue for frosting, no gritty Buttercream for them. They are the best - especially their Salted Caramel Amaretto Cupcakes. Simply Awesome.
