Rain Floods Parts of Mystic

Be careful out there. Post any flood alerts in the comments.

This morning’s rain caused flooding throughout Stonington and Groton. Mystic seemed to be the hardest hit with flooded streets on both the Groton and Stonington sides of the river.

Parts of Gravel Street were under water although shortly before 1 p.m., the water appeared to be receding.

Holmes, Church and Washington Streets on the Stonington side also saw some flooding and Stonington’s First Selectman Edward Haberek Jr., said a catch basin near Church and Washington Streets was being examined.
