Coin Club, Drop-in Read and Play, and What's Your Plan for Long Term Care?

Five things to know on Wednesday, October 9.

  1. Weather Underground says today will be partly cloudy with a high of 63F and tonight will be partly cloudy, with fog overnight and a low of 46F. 
  2. Wednesday muni meetings: The Bd. of Selectman meets at 7 p.m. in the Police Station; Bd. of Finance (Special Meeting) meets at 7 p.m. at the Wequetequock Fire Department.
  3. The Westerly Public Library will host the Pawcatuck Valley Coin Club tonight at 6:30. Have you ever wanted to buy gold or silver but know how to go about it? This is your chance to learn. The members of the Coin Club will be giving a free introductory seminar on how to buy precious metal for physical possession.
  4. Drop-in Read and Play at the Stonington Free Library for ages 0 to 2 years old is at 10:30 a.m. and ages 3 to 6 years old is at 11:30 a.m.
  5. Are you ready for your long-term future? Academy Point at Mystic invites the public to join their financial experts as they discuss long term care - how attitudes have changed, common misconceptions, and the current, very challenging environment. The event is from 5:30-7:00 pm tonight; wine and cheese will be served.
