9th Annual Halo Awards

For the second year in a row, SHS Drama participated in the Halos, a statewide competition which honors excellence in high school theater. This Tony like ceremony took place at the beautiful Palace Theater in Waterbury, CT on Wednesday, May 30th. Stonington drama students were thrilled to also perform a medley from the Sound of Music as part of the ceremony. Stonington High School was honored to receive  17 Halo Nominations and take home 6 awards including the Above and Beyond…Award. 

The Awards SHS Drama won were:

Best Ensemble Chorus in a Musical Stonington

The Sound of Music GYPSY Best Ensemble Member (ROBE Recipient)– Stonington, Ian Capozzoli

Best Performance by a couple in a Musical Haley Barravecchia and Cory Candelet as Liesl & Rolf in The Sound of Music

Best Student Stage Management & Running Crew:
Mackenzie Angus-SM; Kimberly Armstrong and Hannah Lyon-ASMs for The Sound of Music

Best Comic Performer in a Play (female): Libby Hall as Maria in Lend Me A Tenor

Above and Beyond Award - Antonio Pereira

my letter will be off monday,i am in total support of this bill. after working your whole life oneRead More should be able to retire with dignity and enjoy your last years. if the unions in the state can work with you for the passage of this bill, this bill SB 54 WILL PASS.
