Obituary: Thomas L. Cheney Jr.

Thomas L. Cheney Jr., 95, died peacefully with his family by his side on September 24, 2012 at Evergreen Woods in North Branford. Mr. Cheney was a long time resident of Morgan Point in Noank with his wife, Phyllis P. Cheney. He was active in the community and a member of The Mystic Congregational Church.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held by his children on December 22, 2012 from 2:30 – 4:00 pm at the Noank Historical Society’s Latham Chester Store in Noank, CT. Mr. Cheney was born in New York on May 8, 1917, the son of Thomas Langdon Cheney Sr. of Manchester, CT and Judith Stager Calkins Cheney of Cleveland, OH.

He was married in 1952 to Phyllis S. Pannone of Riverside who predeceased him in 1992. They had two children who survive him, Prudence Cheney Dorazio of Noank, CT and Faith Cheney Schoonmaker of Garfield, AR. He was married from 1940 to 1950 to Anne M. Suydam of Bayport, NY.  They had two children who survive him, Knight Dexter Cheney IV and Carol Lispenard Cheney, both of Hamden, CT.  Mr. Cheney was predeceased by a half-sister, Patricia Bell Ramsey.

my letter will be off monday,i am in total support of this bill. after working your whole life oneRead More should be able to retire with dignity and enjoy your last years. if the unions in the state can work with you for the passage of this bill, this bill SB 54 WILL PASS.
