St. Michael Church Closes Due To Need For Structural Upgrades

 

the Archangel Parish announced Sunday that the church will temporarily be closed as of April 23, 2012 due to the need to evaluate pending structural issues in the building.

Engineering firm Gibble Norden Champion Brown Consulting Engineers (GNCB) of Old Saybrook, Conn., recently completed an examination of the structure and construction of the church. Based on their recommendations, the church will be vacant for an indefinite period of time to ensure parishioner safety until these issues can be addressed.

Parish Masses will be held at in Stonington.

The combined Mass schedule will be: Saturday Vigil at 4:00pm and 5:30pm; Sunday at 7:00am, 8:00am, and 10:30am; and weekday including Saturday at 7:00am (except Wednesday), and weekday at 8:00am (except Thursday).

I agree. The bottom line is we're all defenseless if we are deprived of our right to bear arms. GunRead More restrictions do nothing to prevent criminals from getting and using guns. They simply impede law-abiding citizens from getting and using them to defend ourselves from the criminals. I don't want to be stuck at a gunfight with nothing more than a cell phone camera.

The unions are in support and wrote this bill with a couple of state representatives. Council 4 ofRead More AFSCME is fighting for this bill to pass for all those that work hard in the State of Connecticut. Any support would be great. Thank you.

my letter will be off monday,i am in total support of this bill. after working your whole life oneRead More should be able to retire with dignity and enjoy your last years. if the unions in the state can work with you for the passage of this bill, this bill SB 54 WILL PASS.
