Zumba To Benefit Safe Futures

Event will raise funds for the New London organization against domestic and sexual abuse

Safe Futures is offering Zumba this month as a fundraiser to benefit the organization.

There will be a Zumbathon at 2 p.m. on Nov. 17 at the University of Connecticut - Avery Point in Groton. The Zumba course is $15 per person, or $12 with pre-registration. A $3 discount is available with the donation of food, clothing, household items, or unopened toiletry items such as toothpaste and shampoo. To pre-register for this event, contact Susan Hoffenbacher at susanhoffenbacher@att.net or Jodie Sylvester at jodie.sylvester@yahoo.com.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Safe Futures, which provides services to assist those affected by domestic or sexual abuse. The organization was known as the Women's Center of Southeastern Connecticut before changing its name earlier this year.
