I think the beauty of the water, ships, is an excellent pick for this romantic movie. I'm sure it will bring in more tourists to the area, especially ones looking for a romantic vacation. Utterly superb location!

The movie looks interesting- I'd like to know about the demographic that ends up turning out for it, and if it inspires people to change their relationships (because other popular media like the book "50 Shades of Grey" has been reported to have changed relationships as well). Entertainment appears to show slow shifts from fantastic scenarios to more realistic ones, with relatable problems. I wonder if this a new trend in popular culture? Stonington may not only be able to claim fame with a major feature film, but by being a pioneer in the next generation of popular culture. I like that it isn't a cliche film.

We are so blessed to have a lovely community that cares about each other and also brings so much joy and beauty to everyone that has the opportunity to visit. The shops take pride in their appearance and the variety that we have in the way of tourism ( The Vineyard(s), Lighthouse, Historical Society, LaGrua Center, Fishing Community certainly made an impression on the producers choosing Stonington as the prime location of the movie! I am just so happy that we had THE most exciting thing to happen to us since THE BATTLE OF 1812!! GO STONINGTON!!!!

I really had a blast being a background extra in the movie. The scene I was in (if I didn't end up on the cutting room floor) is when Tommy Lee Jones is walking up to the Stonington Lighthouse Museum. I and one other extra walked past him while he is walking up to the entrance of the museum. I met some really wonderful people who are extras in movies all of the time. This was the very first time I have ever done something like this, and I really enjoyed the people and the process. It was extremely interesting.
