2. Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean farmers markets are over. The Stonington Winter Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the . Plus, in addition to the delicious local food there are musicians and crafts.

3. is for a new reading program at the school. The school is looking for books, magazines and periodicals for teen readers. Humanities Coordinator Amy McKenna is collecting the donations.

4. On Jan. 13, 1982, a Boeing 727 crashed into the Potomac River just a few miles from the White House. The plane had taken off from Washington National Airport shortly before the crash. The crash killed 78 people.
