Daily Five: Holiday Book Sale

Five things to know for Monday, Nov. 26, 2012

1. The Mystic and Noank Library’s annual Like-New Holiday Book Sale is going on now. The Friends of Library book sale features new and gently used books plus other holiday items. Proceeds benefit the Mystic & Noank Library. The sale takes place during library hours.

2. Children's Dentistry of Westerly is hosting aholiday food drive for the families in the community. All donations will go to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center and the Jonnycake Center of Westerly. Drop off donations at 130c Granite Street, Westerly, R.I. Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

3. The Mystic Rotary Club meets today at noon at the Mystic Hilton. The club is always seeking community-service oriented new members and meets every Monday at noon.

4. The final chapter of Charles Dickens’s A Tale of Two Cities was published on Nov. 15, 1859.
