1.Head to the Mystic & Noank Library during the month of February to see recent works of art from the Mystic Photography Group. And this Wednesday, Feb. 6 from 4 to 6 p.m., the library will hold an opening reception.
2. Whyevernot is once again getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit. The store is inviting anyone who wants to make a Valentine to stop in and write a note on a paper heart. The hearts are hung in the store window.
The shop started the tradition of the window of hearts 25 years ago. Hearts start to go up the beginning of January and come down the week after Valentine’s Day. Whyevernot holds onto the hearts for about a month so contributors can pick them up for keepsakes. For those just passing through town, the store will mail them.
The store is open Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
3. Speaking of Valentine's Day. If you're having a had time figuring out what to get that special someone Patch posted the following question on our Facebook page hoping to get some gift ideas: “If my significant other REALLY loved me, he or she would go to this local store ____________ and buy me ____________ for Valentine's Day. Check out some of the comments.
