2. The Mystic Arts Center(MAC) is hosting an opening reception for its original and vintage photography shows tonight from 5:30 to 7 at the MAC’s galleries at 9 Water St. in Mystic. The two shows; Photo Show 34 and Art of the Boat: Photographs from Mystic Seaport’s Rosenfeld Collection, opened at the MAC on Sept. 28 and the exhibits run to Nov. 10. Photo Show 34, features original photography from local and regional artists. 

3. The Stonington Farmers’ Market is still going strong. The market meets on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon at the town dock.
