1. Children ages 10 and older are invited to stop by the Stonington Free Library at 5 p.m., for the Marshmallow Challenge. The library will provide spaghetti, string, tape and one marshmallow. Children will complete to build the tallest freestanding structure.

4. Stonington Public School officials are holding a public forum on the middle school looping programs tonight from 6 to 7. The meeting will be held at Stonington High School and parents will be invited to speak.
5 If giving blood makes you a little squeamish maybe ice cream will help. Mel’s Downtown Creamery is hosting a blood drive on Feb. 22, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. Everyone who gives blood will receive a free pint of ice cream.
