The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Tricia Walsh will be the new president of the chamber.

Walsh has been at the chamber since 2007 as the Manager of Membership and Operations and most recently Director of Membership and Communications. Walsh is a graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s in Business Management and brings prior employee management skills to the chamber.

Walsh will be replacing current chamber President Tricia Cunningham who is moving onto the position of Director of Development at Fairview Odd Fellows Home of CT in March. Walsh is a longtime resident of Mystic and feels passionate about the community and the importance of the Mystic Chamber.

"Our Board is very pleased and excited to have Tricia Walsh selected as our next President of the GMCC. Tricia has worked very hard for the Chamber in her position as Director of Membership and will bring that perspective into her new role. In addition, she brings a level of enthusiasm and creativity that will only benefit our members. We truly look forward to her success and the ultimate success of our Chamber," Chairman of the Board of Directors, Jim Bates said.

Walsh is very excited to step into this new position and looks forward to continuing to work with the local community and businesses as well as expand on recent collaborations which have been successful for the chamber including the events, 40 Under 40 and Fusion.

“Tricia Cunningham has been a great mentor and leader, she will be missed not only by our members but our staff as well. I am grateful for the experience of working with her and happy to continue in her place,” Walsh said.
