"Thank you so much for everyone's help and for sharing! Toots was found safe in Groton. A couple of kids called and said they spotted him. He is back safe with Cheryl and Tommy!"

Toots is an 11-pound white Havanese. Shannon Carnese told Stonington-Mystic Patch via Facebook that the dog was stolen off a boat at Mystic Downtown Marina on Saturday, May 24.
The owners are Cheryl and Tommy Abbate.
