Parade, Reading Of The Declaration, Pox On King And Ice Cream Mark Fourth of July In Stonington

Water and Main Streets were awash in sea of red, white and blue Monday morning as Stonington Borough celebrated Independence Day. Local residents decked out in patriotic grab gathered at before marching up Water Street to and then down Main Street back to the square to hear a reading of the Declaration of Independence. After the reading the crowd invoked a pox on King George before setting off to for free ice cream.
