PHOTOS: The Tranquility Project

Share your tranquility photos on Patch, Facebook and Twitter.

After the tragedy at Sandy Hook, Patch Senior Regional Editor and Stonington resident Elissa Bass started posting a daily photo from her morning walk, calling the photo ‘today’s tranquility.’

At the beginning of 2013, Stonington Patch turned those photos into The Tranquility Project. Everyday in 2013 we will share at least one photograph of a tranquil moment in Stonington, Mystic and Patch. It’s our way of making sure we take at least a moment each day to stop, look and appreciate what we have around us.

We encourage you to share your tranquility photos by tweeting them to @StoningtonPatch, tagging Stonington Patch on Facebook, and adding them to this gallery.

Who gave us this right to bear arms? Men. The only God given law was the Ten Commandments. One ofRead More them explicitly says "Thou shall not kill."

I agree. The bottom line is we're all defenseless if we are deprived of our right to bear arms. GunRead More restrictions do nothing to prevent criminals from getting and using guns. They simply impede law-abiding citizens from getting and using them to defend ourselves from the criminals. I don't want to be stuck at a gunfight with nothing more than a cell phone camera.
