Replacement of COMO Soccer Field Fence Costly

The cost to replace the chain link fence and soccer goal at Owens Field on North Main Street that were damaged when a tree fell during the February blizzard is more than $10,000, Jay Mellow, COMO Athletic Director, said Thursday. The lowest bid for the fence replacement was $8,600, and the cost to buy new soccer goals is $2,700. Mellow said plans are under way to make those repairs.
