Severe Thunderstorms Expected This Afternoon, Tonight

Heavy rains, thunderstorms and possibly large hail predicted this afternoon and into the night for all of New London County.

The National Weather Service is predicting severe thunderstorms with heavy showers this afternoon and tonight, with the chance of large hail.

The service has issued a hazardous weather alert for New London County after it predicted heavy storms for this afternoon and tonight. The service also said large hail and “damaging” winds are possible.

The Forecast

This Afternoon: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could be severe, with large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. South wind 15 to 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between midnight and 3 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 a.m.. Some storms could be severe, with large hail, damaging winds, gusty winds, and heavy rain. Low around 63. South wind 7 to 14 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

my letter will be off monday,i am in total support of this bill. after working your whole life oneRead More should be able to retire with dignity and enjoy your last years. if the unions in the state can work with you for the passage of this bill, this bill SB 54 WILL PASS.
