Elissa Bass wrote her Monday column about and Patch readers weighed in about how they feel about running. On Facebook Nancy Plantz Grant wrote: “At 55 I decided I should start running. Last week I decided November 3 would be a good day for the surgery to repair the meniscus I tore while running. I never hurt myself while sitting on my couch...just sayin'” On Patch, Helen wrote “…Running is mine. My way, my pace, my race. No one can ever take that away from me so I run on.”

Downtown Mystic Parking

The lot continued in downtown Mystic, on Facebook and Patch during the week. Beth Alabmonti wrote on Facebook, “I hate the parking down there,” Marthee Thorndike said she has “NO issue with the new system,” and Ross Mandell wrote, “the town crushes new businesses because they always say that they will take up too many parking spaces…” On Patch 87 people had voted in the parking poll by Thursday and 86 percent thought you should be able to pay cash at the lot.
