Take A Tour Of The State Capitol!

Another In Our Summer-Long Series Of Fun Things To Do With The Kids

Tours of the Connecticut Supreme Court, State Capitol and Museum of Connecticut History will occur on Tuesday and also on Thursday, Aug. 11. Activities will include:

  • A scavenger hunt in the Museum of Connecticut History, where exhibits trace the growth of the state and its role in the development of the nation;
  • A visit to the State Capitol, a National Historic Landmark, where children will learn about the legislative process while viewing the House and Senate chambers and also visit the Hall of Flags, where flags carried into battle by Connecticut soldiers are displayed;
  • A visit to the historic Connecticut Supreme Court courtroom, where the state’s most important legal rulings have occurred over the past century.

The program is recommended for children ages 8 and over. Information, including a schedule for both days and tour times, is available through the Judicial Branch’s website, or by calling the External Affairs Division at 860-757-2270.
