The Monsanto Fire: A Decade Later

First responders and community members share stories, photos video and experiences at LaGrua Sunday

Some anniversaries are celebrated, but not this one.

The gathering at the LaGrua Center Sunday June 30 at 5 p.m. will provide an opportunity for first responders and neighbors to remember that day though the sharing of photos, video and recollections. The day we speak about is July 3, 2003 when a fire destroyed the Monsanto complex in the Borough.

Yes, it’s been 10 years.
