What's In Store At The June 19 Denison Farm Market

The is open today, Sunday June 19 from noon to 3 p.m. Here are some of the goodies you can expect to find:

18th Century Purity Farm: will have strawberries, rhubarb, sugar snap peas, radishes, spring turnips, and heirloom dry beans.

Paul-n-Dina Gardens: plans on being at market with fresh herbs, garlic scapes, rhubarb and salad greens. They have a good supply of our all natural insect repellent, Don't Bug Me, butterfly bowls and herbal soaps. Friends of DFM will get $1 off of container gardens with their button this week.

Groton Family Farm: will have assorted greens such as scallions, lettuce, and garlic scapes, strawberries, and of course our pasture-raised eggs. Friend of the market discount: $1.00 off a dozen eggs.

D & L Burton Farms: friend of the market discount: $1.00 off a pound of green tomatoes.

Breads 'n Cookies: specials this week are Pound Cakes—chocolate with marascino cherries, cream cheese coconut pecan and orange velvet pound cake.

Stonewall Apiary: spring has been good to the honeybees, with an abundant nectar flow that has produced a light, sweet, honey that you simply have to try. They’ll also have some Japanese Knotweed honey from last fall—a rich, flavorful honey with a reddish cast when held up to the light. And, as usual, they’ll have honey soaps, beeswax candles, and beeswax wood polish. Friend of the market discount: $1.00 off a 1-lb. jar off of spring honey. Davis Farm: will have both red leaf and green leaf lettuce. Huge heads! They have leeks, baby garlic, scallions and new this week, GARLIC SCAPES! They also will be selling Whit’s Famous Corn Meal, whole grain white flint corn-no additives or preservatives. Friend of the market discount: $1.00 off scallions.

North Stonington Congregational Church willl be at the market this Sunday. Friend of the market discount: $1.00 off each peach raspberry pie again this week.

This Week's Music: Craig Edwards returns to the Denison Farm Market. Craig is an extremely versatile musician, performing on fiddle, guitar, and other instruments and he is an active performer in the region. Craig has recently returned from a trip to France, where he performed. Take a moment to listen this week.

my letter will be off monday,i am in total support of this bill. after working your whole life oneRead More should be able to retire with dignity and enjoy your last years. if the unions in the state can work with you for the passage of this bill, this bill SB 54 WILL PASS.
