Breaking Bad, 9 p.m., AMC
Season 4 premiere tonight. I quit halfway through season 2, pretty much around the time the pregnant Skyler started smoking. Couldn’t take that. Everything I’ve read points me in the direction of resuming this for season 4, however. I think I may stop by and see. Tonight, “Walt and Jesse face deadly consequences; Skyler deals with a puzzling disappearance; Marie helps Hank with his recovery.”

I will be the first to admit that I have never been a vampire fan, dating all the way back to those Bela Lugosi movies that used to be on TV on Saturday afternoons (although I am a sucker for George Hamilton in Love At First Bite). I found all the Twilight stuff unreadable and unwatchable (although I am a sucker for Vampires Suck, if only for the actress’s dead-on Kristen Stewart impersonation). And Lost Boys is one of my favorites. But I am digressing here. I do not get this love for True Blood. To me it is lots of Knots Landing-ish melodrama mixed in dirty talk and graphic sex.
