Call For Entries: NL Plein Air Competition

One winner's work will be the cover of the 2013 Connecticut Boater's Guide and other winning artists will receive cash prizes

 

If you're an artist, wants you to participate in the 2012 New London Plein Air Competition and art sale.

The gallery announced the event on their website, calling for artists to both submit paintings and participate in the on-location plein air competition.

The New London event is scheduled in collaboration with both Sailfest and OpSail and invites residents to celebrate southeastern Connecticut.

According to the gallery's website, the competition painting days will be July 6 through 8, and the show will be held on the evening of July 8.

Those interested in submitting completed work must do so by May 14. Artists must enter three pieces completed within the last three years, and those selected will be entered with the pieces completed during the live competition in July.
