Live show, featuring Johnny and the East Coast Rockers, with special guest performances by Stonington High School students, taking place on Thursday, May 17th, at 7:00PM at the .  Tickets:  $10 (adults); $8 (seniors and students) can be purchased at , and .
 
This event, sponsored by Stonington Human Services, Stonington Prevention Council,  Olde Mistick Village Art Cinemas and Simply Majestic, is being held as a fundraiser with all proceeds benefiting the Stonington High School Friends of Rachel (FOR) Club.  
 
Rachel Scott was the first person killed at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999.  She believed that one act of kindness could start a chain reaction of the same.  Her parent’s founded Rachel’s Challenge, a non-profit in her name dedicated to addressing bullying and school violence.  It is an internationally recognized program with a powerful message.
 
Stonington Human Services, in partnership with the Stonington Education Fund, Stonington Public Schools, Stonington Police Department and Stonington Prevention Council, brought Rachel’s Challenge to Stonington this past December.  Continuing the message of Rachel’s Challenge, the Friends of Rachel Club promotes that one act of kindness can start a chain reaction of the same.

I agree. The bottom line is we're all defenseless if we are deprived of our right to bear arms. GunRead More restrictions do nothing to prevent criminals from getting and using guns. They simply impede law-abiding citizens from getting and using them to defend ourselves from the criminals. I don't want to be stuck at a gunfight with nothing more than a cell phone camera.

The unions are in support and wrote this bill with a couple of state representatives. Council 4 ofRead More AFSCME is fighting for this bill to pass for all those that work hard in the State of Connecticut. Any support would be great. Thank you.

my letter will be off monday,i am in total support of this bill. after working your whole life oneRead More should be able to retire with dignity and enjoy your last years. if the unions in the state can work with you for the passage of this bill, this bill SB 54 WILL PASS.
