Join us for a light-hearted and entertaining evening presented by Dr. Dreslin on the subject of Gilbert and Sullivan, and their 14 collaborative works. Enjoy live performance of excerpts from their operas, along with Dreslin’s own anecdotes. Dr. Dreslin recently presented a paper on the humor of Sullivan's music at the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in Gettysburg, PA. Active in the local theater scene for over 30 years, Dr. Dreslin is the recipient of nine Eugene O'Neill Awards, a lifetime achievement award by the Connecticut Gilbert and Sullivan Society, and honorary membership by Opera Comique of Portsmouth, England.
