Maple & Main Gallery's May Daze opening Friday, May 4 includes works by guest artists David Lussier, Jack Broderick, Laura Eden and five other Pitkin Street Painters as well as sculpture by Charles Clark. The gallery is also welcoming two new member artists, both well-known in the state and around the country: Bob Noreika and Jim Grabowski.

The Pitkin Street Painters are plein air artists from various ports of call in Connecticut who show together, concentrating on beautiful scenes they've captured in the state while painting outside.

The gallery is also featuring in its spring show the bronze sculptures of Charles Clark, a Massachussetts sculptor, painter and illustrator whose works can be found in many corporate and private collections and who has won several prominent awards.

In addition, the gallery has over 200 new works on display by 26 artists including new paintings by Noreika and Grabowski as well as works by the gallery artists in a wide variety of medium and styles.

May Daze is a town-wide event celebrated on the first Friday of May for the past 21 years when galleries, restaurants and shops throw open their doors to welcome visitors with food and ddrink and unique offerings from 5 to 8 pm.

Maple and Main is located at One Maple Streeet in the village of Chester.

my letter will be off monday,i am in total support of this bill. after working your whole life oneRead More should be able to retire with dignity and enjoy your last years. if the unions in the state can work with you for the passage of this bill, this bill SB 54 WILL PASS.
