It’s sweet, sweet summertime, people. Think back to that icy cold, messy winter—snow banks, shoveling, chattering teeth—and start taking advantage of the warm, sunny weather. We’ve taken the liberty of planning out your weekend, and sadly there just isn’t any time for laziness. That’s right, we’re telling you to get out and make the most of your weekend. Here’s what we have planned:

WHERE/WHEN: Friday evening at Ocean Beach Park in New London. Music starts at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks around 9:15 p.m., with more music to follow.
WHY GO: Rock out on the boardwalk with Steve Smith and The Nakeds! Plus, fireworks.
PRICING: Parking is $5 on fireworks nights.

WHERE/WHEN: Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Stonington Vineyards.
WHY GO: Enjoy an afternoon of food, wine and live music and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.
PRICING: Admission is $12 per person over 21, which includes a Stonington Vineyards logo glass for wine tastings.

WHERE/WHEN: Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mystic Seaport.
WHY GO: “Tattoo Tales” booth, “Skin and Bones” museum exhibit and lots of family-friendly activities and tours!
PRICING: Event is included in museum admission.

WHERE/WHEN: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bill Memorial Library in Groton.
WHY GO: Check out some fantastic art, enjoy family activities and take in the lovely local sights at this open-air festival.
PRICING: Free.
