Exploring Vintage Stonington, Mystic And Pawcatuck

Today Jackson Avenue in downtown Mystic is a sleepy street dotted with houses and the businesses of Mystic Stainless & Aluminum Inc and . But at the turn of the last century the street was home to the Mystic Country Club. The sent Stonington-Mystic Patch this photograph of the Mystic Country Club taken around 1925

According to the historical society residents organized the club in 1904 and Mystic dentist Dr. George S.B. Leonard served as the first club president. The club hosted social activities and lawn game. In 1918, during World War I the club became a reading room run by the American Red Cross.

The unions are in support and wrote this bill with a couple of state representatives. Council 4 ofRead More AFSCME is fighting for this bill to pass for all those that work hard in the State of Connecticut. Any support would be great. Thank you.

my letter will be off monday,i am in total support of this bill. after working your whole life oneRead More should be able to retire with dignity and enjoy your last years. if the unions in the state can work with you for the passage of this bill, this bill SB 54 WILL PASS.
