Wednesday, 8 August
5:30 - 8:30pm

An event like no other!

Join us for a lighthouse tour by boat with debut author M.L. Stedman to celebrate her striking novel The Light Between Oceans.  We will embark for New London Ledge Light on the Project Oceanology boat and, weather permitting, disembark and visit the lighthouse museum. After returning to the vessel, M.L. Stedman will talk about and read from her novel The Light Between Oceans, set on a lighthouse off western Australia, and we will have a wine and cheese reception and visit with the author while we take a nautical tour of other lighthouses in Fishers Island Sound and watch the Mudhead sailboat races in the Sound. Books will be signed.

(NO PHOTOS OF THE AUTHOR ARE PERMITTED)

TICKETS:  $50 includes a signed copy of the book, lighthouse tour on the Project O vessel, and the wine and cheese reception.  Tickets for children aged 6-14 are $20 and do not include a book. Tickets are limited to 56 people.  No children under 6 are allowed on the vessel.  A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the New London Ledge Lighthouse Foundation.

The meeting point for the event is at Project Oceanology, 1084 Shennecossett Road, Groton. In case of inclement weather the event will be held at Project O @ Avery Point, Groton, CT.

I agree. The bottom line is we're all defenseless if we are deprived of our right to bear arms. GunRead More restrictions do nothing to prevent criminals from getting and using guns. They simply impede law-abiding citizens from getting and using them to defend ourselves from the criminals. I don't want to be stuck at a gunfight with nothing more than a cell phone camera.
