Disney Cruise Line has recently added a new ship to its growing fleet, the Disney Fantasy. The Fantasy joins her sister ship, The Disney Dream- along with the Magic and Wonder.
Unlike the shorter itineraries of the Disney Dream, the Fantasy sails out of Port Canaveral on seven-night Caribbean itineraries alternating between the Eastern Caribbean (St. Maarten and St. Thomas) and Western Caribbean (Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, Cozumel) along with one stop at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. I had the pleasure of doing a ship tour of the Disney Fantasy on February 29th, (for those in the know, that's how I spent my "One More Disney Day"!) while it was docked in New York City for its Christening.
For those of you that have been on the Disney Dream, most everything is the same except for a few differences. My favorite difference is the addition of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! Found in two locations at Walt Disney World (Cinderella's Castle and Downtown Disney), Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a must-do for your little princess. A salon of sorts, girls can get their hair, makeup and nails done by a Fairy Godmother for around $55. There are also pirate packages for those that want to go all out on Pirate Night.
While the maiden voyage of the Disney Fantasy is on March 31st, I am honored to announce I will be on a March 23rd preview sailing!! I will be traveling with my 12- year old daughter who is excited to check out the "tween" club on board!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about Disney's newest ship, or any Disney Destination. Bon Voyage!
