L&M Dance Video Looks to Win $10,000 for Breast Cancer Research

Lawrence & Memorial Hospital employees participate in Pink Glove Dance Competition

A music video featuring over 100 employees of Lawrence & Memorial Hospital is in the running for a $10,000 prize in the Pink Glove Dance competition.

The national contest awards a $10,000 first prize to the winner's choice of breast cancer charity as well as second and third prizes of $5,000 and $2,000. If L&M is chosen, they will donate to the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Pink Glove Dance competition began after the medical supply company Medline produced a video to raise breast cancer awareness and it went viral on YouTube. Last year, the company began a national competition inviting organizations to create their own Pink Glove Dance music videos. This is the second year of the competition, which has attracted over 260 participants.

Voting began on Friday and will run until Nov. 2. The winners will be announced on Nov. 9.

As of Tuesday afternoon, L&M's video had 1,467 votes. People may cast their votes on the Pink Glove Dance site or through this site.
