The Pawcatuck business prides itself on providing high quality garment printing and utilizing equipment and materials made here in the U.S. Mystic natives Chris Fiftal and Dave DiAngelis started Emulsion right after finishing art school.

Why did you start a business here in town?
Having grown up in Mystic and having a great appreciation for the area, it gives us the ability to continue to grow while supporting the local economy. A large part of our clientele is small business and we frequently show at the Mystic Art Association.
We also offer unique, hand-printed wedding invitations, paper and wood prints. On-site screen printing, embroidery and direct-to-garment printing.
What are you most proud of about your business?
We have built our business upon the idea that high quality garment printing should be more accessible in the states. Additionally, all of our machinery as well as our entire business is built right here in the USA.
Tell us something about your business that people may find surprising?
Our company was started upon graduating art school, and quality and good design is very important to us. There's alot of not-so-great apparel out there & we're trying to fix that. Also, our studio has a very large output and can push 1500+ units a day.
In what ways does your business give back to the community?
T-Shirts are [an] amazing way to fundraise. Following the tragic events of last year's Boston Marathon, we released our "Hearts for Boston" tee, raising nearly $10,000 & donating 100% of the proceeds directly to victims Jacqui Webb, Paul and JP Norden.
