Happy Sweet 16 Cottrell Brewing Company

Cottrell Brewing is celebrating 16 years in business on Saturday.

Cottrell Brewing Company celebrates 16 years of producing craft beers this Saturday.

Charlie Cottrell Buffum began brewing his own beers when his wife gave him a home brewing kit. After visiting different breweries and studying the industry, Buffum decided to open Cottrell Brewing Company. Today, Cottrell Brewery is famous for their signature Old Yankee Ale, Mystic Bridge IPA and Cottrell Summer Ale.

Leave a review of the place on Patch and then stop by Cottrell Brewing Company for a free open house from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16. The event, only for those that are 21-years-old and up, will feature live music, snacks made with Cottrell bears by Stonington bakery Zest and of course Cottrell craft beers. There will even be the chance to enter a raffle to win Cottrell t-shirts, pint glasses and a lunch and preview tasting of Cottrell’s next beer. Plus the proceeds from the raffle tickets will go to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center.

Happy Birthday Cottrell Brewing Company!

I agree. The bottom line is we're all defenseless if we are deprived of our right to bear arms. GunRead More restrictions do nothing to prevent criminals from getting and using guns. They simply impede law-abiding citizens from getting and using them to defend ourselves from the criminals. I don't want to be stuck at a gunfight with nothing more than a cell phone camera.
