My 'Fatness to Fitness and Health' continues...

Day three of my journey. I did great yesterday. Walked in the morning, ate all my greens, walked a track in the afternoon, ate a good, healthy, "feeling good about myself" kind of dinner.

Day three of my journey. I did great yesterday. Walked in the morning, (it's very dark in the early morning) and ate all my greens, walked a track in the afternoon, ate a good, healthy, "feeling good about myself" kind of dinner.

Went to bed and slept, yes slept. Not just a 'fall asleep and wake up startled at 2:00 a.m. and spend the rest of the night creating marketing campaigns' but fell asleep and stayed asleep. Much to my surprise, my alarm clock went off. I now have to buy a new alarm clock because after not hearing it for a few years, I realized this morning it's obnoxious.

Anyway, I do realize that I just started this so my sleep may not be related at all. My sleeping may be my exhaustion from thinking so much about healthy food, what am I going to eat for dinner?, what time should I walk this afternoon? etc, but it's still sleep just the same.

Now, to clarify a few things about exercise. Since I met my boyfriend, seven years ago, exercise was very much a part of our life. Bike riding, hiking, walking but since my business opened it has completely stopped, except for an occasional walk when I have time. I do like walking and hiking, especially in the woods, but hiking once every 6 weeks cannot count as an exercise regime. But I need to make it a priority now in my life. I actually enjoy exercising and feel better once I do it but life often gets in the way.

But this has to change so for now baby steps in the right direction. I walked this morning but my afternoon walk is interrupted by rain so I will dig out one of my old workout videos, blow off the dust (does blowing off dust burn calories? note to self to look into that) and exercise in the living room.

Until next time....

Who gave us this right to bear arms? Men. The only God given law was the Ten Commandments. One ofRead More them explicitly says "Thou shall not kill."

I agree. The bottom line is we're all defenseless if we are deprived of our right to bear arms. GunRead More restrictions do nothing to prevent criminals from getting and using guns. They simply impede law-abiding citizens from getting and using them to defend ourselves from the criminals. I don't want to be stuck at a gunfight with nothing more than a cell phone camera.

The unions are in support and wrote this bill with a couple of state representatives. Council 4 ofRead More AFSCME is fighting for this bill to pass for all those that work hard in the State of Connecticut. Any support would be great. Thank you.
