Health & Fitness
My "Fatness to Fitness and Health' journey is alive and well!
I can't honestly say that getting up early in the A.M. to walk and walking in the evening is becoming a habit but I am thinking about it and planning for it, which is great.
Here I am still plugging along on my quest for better health and fitness of some sort. I can't honestly say that getting up early in the A.M. to walk and walking in the evening is becoming a habit but I am thinking about it and planning for it, which is great. I think about it at night and set my alarm to get up in enough time to walk and I think about my evening walk before heading to the office to make sure I have my walking clothes with me. Yes, this takes fore thought and mornings are rough now that it is still dark when I awake but I find that if I tell myself a lie, well actually a fib or exaggeration, that I can go back to bed after I walk, then I don't mind dragging out of bed early. Although I never actually do go to bed after walking, I like to know that it's an option.
Now for the food, I am eating properly with vegetables, staying away from junk food and really paying close attention to how I am feeling and I actually do feel better. I have more energy ( I have officially given up energy drinks, which I may have been addicted to) and I am sleeping through the night. Sleeping through the night means I have to worry more during the day to make up for all the worrying that I lose while I am sleeping but I still manage to fit it in.
I was proud when I received an email from Laura, my health coach, asking me how I was doing, that I could say I was doing great and I wasn't exaggerating.

Now the beer factor...this has been tough. If you read my last post, I mentioned that I was sad that Pumpkin Ale was not a vegetable and I am proud to say that I have had a few and only a few since I began this journey. This has been the tough part because I like the taste of Pumpkin Ale but it is just in preparation for the will power I am creating for the Apple Ale that will soon be arriving on the shelves. Some people like wine, I like flavored beers but I like the feeling of putting on my clothes and the difference I notice so fitness and health is winning. Hope I am making my health coach proud.
