Stonington-Mystic Patch isn’t just my Patch. It’s your Patch and that’s why I’m thrilled to announce our new Movers and Shakers program.
Movers and Shakers is a group of local leaders that will meet once a month to provide feedback and help us further engage with the community. We want Stonington-Mystic Patch to be as representative of Stonington, Mystic and Pawcatuck as humanly possible. Our Movers and Shakers will help us decide what to cover, offer suggestions for improving Stonington-Mystic Patch and help us reach new users.
The Stonington-Mystic Patch Movers and Shakers are:
Jason and Virginia Brown
Jason and Virginia are small business owners in Stonington. They opened The Global Child an early childhood education and day care center in 2011. Virginia is also the Director of Special Services at Stonington Public Schools. They hope to play a role in providing feedback as well as representing the early childhood community.
Sarah Bruno
Dr. Sarah Bruno is a Chiropractor and the owner of in Pawcatuck. She is also the President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Stoningtons and started using Patch to post rotary meetings and events.
Wendy Fox van Breems and Christie Hansen
Wendy Fox van Breems is the owner of and Christie Hansen Fox is a sales representative. The two provide social media marketing for businesses from Manhattan to Newport, R.I. Wendy wakes up every morning to Patch.
Ray Jones
Ray Jones is the Pastor of . He’s been using Patch for about a year and posted softball scores last year. Ray describes himself as someone who is nervous to participate online but very interested.
Howard Taylor
Howard Taylor is both a yacht broker and bartender. He is an avid online participator. Howard hopes to represent and provide information on the yachting community.
Feng Xue and Elisa Sun
Feng Xue and Elisa Sun are the owners of First Han International. They use Patch to post events, get daily emails and keep the community updated on the educational trips to China to go on.
