Three Rabid Skunks Found In Downtown Mystic

Ledge Light Health District reports that three skunks found last week in downtown Mystic had rabies.

 

The announced today that three skunks found in downtown Mystic last week had rabies.

According to a press release from Ledge Light, Groton Animal Control captured three skunks in downtown Mystic area during the week of April 22 to 29, 2012. While the skunks were not tested for rabies the animal control officers felt the animals were positive for rabies due to erratic behavior and their physical condition.

Ledge Light Health District said “the public should refrain from feeding or approaching any wild or stray animals and contact Groton Animal Control for suspicious sightings.”

Last week a fox, that several people and attacking people, tested positive for rabies.

I agree. The bottom line is we're all defenseless if we are deprived of our right to bear arms. GunRead More restrictions do nothing to prevent criminals from getting and using guns. They simply impede law-abiding citizens from getting and using them to defend ourselves from the criminals. I don't want to be stuck at a gunfight with nothing more than a cell phone camera.

The unions are in support and wrote this bill with a couple of state representatives. Council 4 ofRead More AFSCME is fighting for this bill to pass for all those that work hard in the State of Connecticut. Any support would be great. Thank you.

my letter will be off monday,i am in total support of this bill. after working your whole life oneRead More should be able to retire with dignity and enjoy your last years. if the unions in the state can work with you for the passage of this bill, this bill SB 54 WILL PASS.
