Viewfinder: Earth Day At The Mystic Aquarium
Visitors Packed The Aquarium Filled With A Line Up Of Educational Activities And Exhibits
The hosted an Earth Day celebration Friday, April 23rd. Events in the line up included: a live projected Skype call to SANCCOB, a South African penguin research affiliate, Long Island Sound run off exhibit, narrative of solutions and damage caused by oil spills and an art exhibit with sculptures made entirely with all recycled materials. The event, filled with middle and high school age volunteers, brought in the masses from all over the country with the hopes of topping the previous day's attendance of almost 7000 visitors.
