Notice anything different about downtown Mystic? The ! The Liberty Pole returned to its home on Route 1 and Holmes Street this week. Thanks to everyone who shared pictures of the day-long process with us.

It seems like the construction in downtown Mystic is never ending, but some of that construction means places like the get spruced up with new slides, swings and even trees. The on Monday, June 4 and Tuesday June 5 while it undergoes some of those renovations.

While Mystic neighborhood children get part of their education at the playground many of them also got their start at in Mystic. Founder and teacher retired after 48 years this week, and with her retirement the school will close. Wish her luck on her retirement and share your memories of the school.

Summer is upon us at least unofficially, and with it the farmers markets are back. The re-opens for the season today, at noon. Patch will be there so come say hello. And to go along with farmers market season we will be profiling farmers, producers, and farm fresh recipes all summer such as .
