It may only be the second day of December, but already Mystic, Stonington, and Pawcatuck is decked out in holiday décor. The Mystic Polar Express arrived at the Mystic & Noank Library this week. The holiday lights are back on the downtown Mystic stores. Even the Stonington Borough Firehouse got some holiday cheer. Don’t forget to share your holiday decorations by entering the Deck The House contest and if you’re looking for a craft fair or Christmas bazaar to pick up some gifts check out Patch’s guide to weekend holiday craft fairs and bazaars.

While wallets may be stretching from holiday gift buying Stonington residents may soon save some money on health costs. , will be provided to residents who will be able to use them, regardless of age, income or current health coverage.

The Plan of Conservation and Development Subcommittee is looking for public input to create the 2014 Plan of Conservation and Development. An initial public meeting will be held on December 3 at 7 p.m. at Stonington High School.
