Week In Review In Photos: Hurricane Sandy

In Stonington, Mystic and Pawcatuck the focus of the week was Hurricane Sandy

Hurricane Sandy was the event of the week in Stonington, Mystic and Pawcatuck. The anticipation of the hurricane had people rushing to stores, buying up all the D-batteries they could find, Sandy’s arrival brought high winds, a lot of rain and flooding, and by the time the storm was over thousands in southeastern Connecticut were in the dark.

Cleanup continues as does power restoration, and it may be months before we know the real cost of the storm.

Here’s a look at some of the many photographs and videos from Hurricane Sandy. Visit the Stonington-Mystic Patch Hurricane Sandy Information Center for a look at more photographs and the stories from the store.

And please keep us updated on what's open in town today.
