You Know What We Need? More Snow!

The weekend forecast calls for up to four inches on Saturday for Stonington. Do you remember where you left the shovel?

Our friends at the National Weather Service are predicting that the latest storm moving toward New England could bring up to 4 inches of new snow to the area. Which is a good thing, because we just finished clearing out from the last snowfall!

Here is the weekend forecast for Stonington. As always, share your photos with us if it comes!

  • Friday night: A chance of rain between 11pm and 3am, then rain and snow likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. Light and variable wind becoming north around 6 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
  • Saturday: Rain and snow likely before 7am, then a chance of snow between 7 a.m. and noon, then a chance of rain and snow after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 39. North wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
  • Saturday Night: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 22. North wind 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
  • Sunday: A chance of snow, mainly before noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 27. Blustery, with a northwest wind 17 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
  • Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 16. Blustery.
