Why do boats float? We will be exploring the history of different types of boats, their uses, shapes and sizes. Using recycled materials we will create model boats and examine the physics of how they float, hold cargo and stay upright in vicious storms. We will even take it to the next level and design a sail to harness the ferocious winds of a household box fan!
