Festival Of Lessons and Carols for Advent

The Annual Festival of Lesson and
Carols for Advent at Christ Church Westerly, will be held on Sunday,
December 1st at 5 pm. The Festival will feature choral music by the Christ
Church Choir, congregational singing of Advent carols, and the reading of the
lessons foretelling the coming of the Christ child. Also, on Sunday, December 29th
at 5 pm, Christ Church will celebrate the birth of Christ with the Annual
Festival of Lessons and Carols for Christmas.

The Festivals of Lessons and Carols have been
a tradition at Christ Church for over three decades. The Christ Church Choir,
under the direction of George Kent, Choirmaster and Organist, will perform an
array of traditional Advent arrangements and the Advent lessons will be read by
parish members and lay leaders of Christ Church.

All are welcome with the hope that this
wonderful service will enhance your experience of the Christmas Season.
Following the service will be a festive reception in the parish hall. The event
is free and doors open at 4:30 pm. Childcare is available in the nursery.
