The Cocktail Challenge

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS RAISE

 MONEY FOR WESTERLY CHILDREN Saturday, October 19th, 2013

 The Westerly-Pawcatuck Young Professionals Network is set to host The Cocktail Challenge on October 19th at the Windjammer Surf Bar in Westerly, RI. Over forty cocktail recipes will be submitted to a panel of judges that will pick eight of the most creative, innovative cocktails from local Westerly restaurants to feature at the main event. Guests will sample the eight cocktails and get to vote on their favorite. A first place winner will be awarded from a Judge’s Choice and a second place winner from the People’s Choice. Guests will also be able to nosh on local food and live music.

The fundraiser is to benefit Opening Doors for Westerly’s Children an initiative of United Way of Rhode Island. All proceeds go to an education fund that will provide school supplies and scholarships to help low-income Westerly students at the Tower Street School Center gain access to educational programs.

The Westerly Pawcatuck Young Professionals Network is an initiative of the Greater Westerly Pawcatuck Area Chamber of Commerce. This event is being sponsored by Elevated Spirits of McLaughlin Moran, Eat Drink RI, and the Windjammer Surf Bar.
