YMCA’s Reach Out To Youth Fundraiser at Precision Fitness

Precision Fitness in Westerly will be hosting a fundraiser now known as “Thirsty Thursday” on Thursday, March 13 starting at 6:30 pm.  The Y Cares Reach Out To Youth Program will be the benefactor of the event.  This is our adult fundraiser so we recommend participants be 18 and above.  Participants of all ability levels are encouraged to work up a thirst by coming out to compete or cheering everyone on for this great cause.

Our Cares financial assistance program provides aid to those in need and ensures that no one is turned away for the inability to pay. Y Cares offers children, teens, adults and families the opportunity to benefit from Y programs and services that they otherwise could not afford.

Last year, our Y helped almost 2,000 individuals and families participate in Y programs and services!!  There will be 5 contests to test your self.  Watch or participate, it’s your choice.  Past events have included: Rope Slams, TRX Low Rows, Equalizer Push Ups, Beer Growler Hold, Jam Ball Slams, Quarters, Corn Hole and more.

The object of the competition is to get as many reps or points for each event where the total combined score determines the winner!  There is a men’s and women’s category.

We will have “The Jackhammer” DJ Jazzy Jeremy spinning tunes, “The Hammer” Brian Sullivan announcing ring-side and hopefully “Rocking Ron” throwing down his dance moves!
Awards will be given for the best theme dressed team and best theme dressed individual.

We will be asking for $20 donations to compete or $10 to spectate, but really ANY amount will help!
