Deck the Walls: A Celebration of Wreaths, Tabletop Trees, & Holiday Décor

The following is a press release provided by the Stonington Historical Society:

Please join the Stonington Historical Society in conjunction with the Stonington Garden Club at the Captain Nathaniel Palmer House on December 1, 2 & 3 for Deck the Walls: A Celebration of Wreaths, Tabletop Trees, & Holiday Décor.  This annual event brings together the seasonal creations of local artisans, merchants, nurseries, and members of the Garden Club.  These include uniquely themed wreaths, tabletop trees, and various seasonal decorative items.  All are included in a silent auction event that begins with a Preview Party on Thursday, December 1 from 6-8 pm at the Capt. Nathaniel Palmer House.  Admission to the Preview event is $20 and includes beverages and hors d’oeuvres.  This year’s event has entries from Susan Scala Studios, Stonington Gardens, Grand & Water Antiques, and many others. All are welcome to attend.  The silent auction will continue throughout the weekend with an Open House and free admission. Come see more than 40 individual entries and shop for holiday gifts and décor.

Trunk Show!  This year, for the first time, we have invited merchants to set up their wares here at the Palmer House.  Featured will be Indo-Chic Designs of Stonington. Without a retail outlet, this will be a great opportunity to view their items up close.  Indo-Chic features Thai silk, dupioni, shantung, raw silk and silk velvet. These stunning designs in divine colors will complement a variety of lifestyles, shapes & sizes. Also featured this year is Magilly of Pomfret, CT.  Featuring Tabletop, Home & Garden items.
